Hello Hello!

Why Hello There!

I would like to say thank you to all of my avid readers and followers for joining me today in the reading of my wisdom filled post! I know you are all so very excited to see what I have to say!

I have chosen to title my super fantastic blog, "Glowrie" for two reasons. First, I'm completely in love with Jesus and the word, "Glory" came to mind when sitting here in front of my computer, thinking of Him. Second, I'm from the south and for some reason when I say the word, "Glory" in my head, it bounces around in there with a thick old lady southern accent as, "Glowrie". It usually follows with, "Hallelujaher"...not sure why though. Anywho, I'm not really here to talk about anything important this time, just a thought.

I found myself in an awkward situation this past weekend. I was out of town staying with family. Sunday rolls around and my day was over before I knew it! I had to swing by and pick up my things before heading back home that night. I was given a key and instructions, "This is the key to the backdoor." With the key in hand and a full bladder I jumped in my car and headed in the direction of, my things! After parking my car in the driveway, I vigorously hoped out and jetted for the backdoor. I placed my hand on the glass door handle to open it and much to my surprise, it was locked! "Oh no! They forgot to make sure the glass door was unlocked!!" Panic set in! First, I have to pee so bad! Second, what exactly is in my bag that I might need this week? I gave it some more thought and decided that I couldn't make it to a gas station so the backyard would have to do! After that, I came to the conclusion that I would be fine without my bag and could get it later. When I started walking back to my car I said aloud to the wind, “I’ll just try using the key on the side door.” Vuala! Like magic, the key worked!!!! So, I peed outside for nothing and felt totally humbled in the fact that, "I didn't really think this situation through!"

I thought that by the time I finished typing the above paragraph I would have some fancy conclusion or analogy but, I don't think I do. I guess all I want to say is, "When you're in a tough situation, don't pee outside before trying to unlock the side door."

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

  1. Hahahaha!! That was awesome Audra! I'm like that in some respect except I tend to way over-think situations like that. I would try to unlock the door and when it didn't work I would be like "well I guess God doesn't want me to go into the house and get my stuff. Goodbye stuff, I'll miss because we can no longer be together, according to God's clear sign that I'm not meant to enter this house and collect you!" When all along, God just wanted me to try a different path to get him where I wanted to be instead of doing my own thing.
See what I mean about over-thinking it...? =) Kudos on the superb post!
